Brent valley vision

The far-sighted campaigns of local people in the 1970s to create the Brent River Park out of parcels of riverside land, has brought a revitalising place for plants, animals and people.

Beneath the Wharncliffe viaduct, Brent Lodge Park

We walked through Brent River Park and Elthorne Park, then crossed to Warren Farm nature reserve, along to Brent Meadow, and into Brent Lodge Park taking in Hanwell Zoo.

Points of interest included Brunel’s great western line viaduct, the place where Jim Marshall invented his amplifier, the Grand Union Canal and river Brent, and the animals in Hanwell Zoo. More about the area …
